Getting Out of Debt
When he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. But since he did not have the means to repay, his lord commanded him to be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment to be made. (Matthew 18:24-25) For a number of years now I have been amazed at the stunning truths in the parable of the debtor that have eluded so many but that are now beginning to be seen. This story has made a dramatic change in my own life and personal relationships and continues to do so. Yet this story seems to remain as an inexhaustible resource for further insights and breakthroughs to reveal even more about the amazing forgiveness of our God. Now I am starting to see even more than what has already emerged over a number of years of exploring this with others who are also catching sight of truths in this story.
